GamesAsylum - Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Review

GamesAsylum: "There are similarities playing through Ground Zeroes main campaign for the first time and taking a trip to the cinema to watch an anticipated blockbuster movie. Not so much in terms of Hideos love for lengthy cinematic cutscenes Ground Zeroes interludes are actually surprisingly brief but rather in regards to the visual splendour, provided here by Konamis new Fox Engine, and the fleeting two hour runtime"

Ground Zeroes is Kojima Being Kojima

Josh Hinke from Explosion writes: " I think its important to point out, before you read any further, I did not play Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Im not a big Kojima fan, Im not a big Metal Gear fan, I liked the first Metal Gear Solid, but I couldnt get through Sons of Liberty. While I dont think Hideo Kojima is a creative genius in fact, I dont think hes very creative I respect the droves of Metal Gear fans who have found much to enjoy in the franchise. Ill be the first to admit, not getting into Metal Gear is my loss as millions seem to really dig the adventures of Big Boss/Solid Snake."

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes Video Review | Metal Arcade

Added: 27.03.2014 1:15 | 3 views | 0 comments

Metal Arcade: Jason Bakker says: As a longtime fan of the series, I can say with certainty that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes does not feel like your standard Metal Gear game. There are no long-winded Codec conversations or lengthy cinematics. No hiding in cardboard boxes, no girly magazines, no Soliton radar, and no David Hayter. Ground Zeroes is a darker, grittier take on the franchise that feels fresh, and perhaps even a bit alien. While its main campaign takes at most two hours to complete, the overhauled combat and stealth systems, open-world environment, and unlockable side missions lend a decent amount of replayability. While some have scoffed at the idea of what was believed to be a glorified tech demo, Ground Zeroes does feel like a complete package for its price point especially for die-hard fans of the series who dont want to wait until 2015 or later to play the latest iteration.
